It Is Very Important To Know Who Your Ideal Customer Avatar Is.

The better you know your ideal customer avatar, the better you will be able to write content they will respond too. 

There is a very familiar saying “If you try and sell to everyone you will sell to no one.”


Therefore it is very important to know your Ideal Customer Avatar in as much detail as you can so that you can better address their issues. 

Absolutely Critical

Thus it is absolutely critical to your business that you know who your Ideal customer Avatar is.

This ideal customer avatar represents a single most perfect customer you could possibly have.

I.e. the perfect customer who completely needs and wants your product, your content or your services. This ideal customer could even be the perfect person you would love to work with.

Identifying this perfect customer

By identifying this perfect customer will result in you finding out more details about this person.

Therefore you will know your Ideal Customer Avatar intimately, and as a result, you will be more able to create content for him/her in your social media or blog posts.

Also understanding your Ideal Customer Avatar intimately will enable you to create content providing solutions, to their specific problems thus satisfying their wants and their needs.

Your content will be very valuable to them, as they will enjoy receiving your content. As a result, they will know you are not wasting their time with non-relevant content instead you understand their desires and this will be something they will pay for.

Build a business on a long-term basis

Firstly, you will need to create a person in your mind. Thus this Ideal Customer Avatar is the person who ideally wants and loves your content he/she looks forward to receiving your content and buys all your products as they get such benefit from your products and are happy to refer you to their friends and family.

We are just going to focus on one person for your ideal customer avatar, even though there are billions of people in the world.

You can focus on their specific needs and problems rather than a vast mixture of desires and issues by focusing on just one single person.


Therefore it will allow you to become laser-focused in knowing your ideal customer avatar resulting in your content is clear, concentrated and highly relevant.

So to write a detailed description of your Ideal Customer Avatar, you are probably going to be making this Ideal Customer Avatar up and you will need to really dive deep and describe this avatar as detailed as possible.

  7. Who inspires them?
  8. What are their pain points?
  9. What are their frustrations?

Where do they hang out?

  1. Where do they go online?
  2. Do they belong to specific groups?
  3. Do they visit specific forums?
  4. The topics of interest?
  5. The social media do they use?
  6. Which blogs do they read?
  7. The podcasts they listen too?
  8. Types of YouTube videos they watch?

What is it that they really want?

  1. Extra money to make ends meet?
  2. Or do they want a totally different job/career?
  3. Are they looking for time freedom?
  4. Looking to fire the boss?

What is stopping them from getting want they really want?

  1. No money to invest?
  2. No time to do something else/new?
  3. Family commitments?
  4. Stress?

So spend some time getting to know your ideal customer avatar. Certainly looking and delving deep into their specific pain points and frustrations. 

A great way is to think what is it that keeps them up at night?

On the other hand, if you already have a client base, irrespective of the size of the customer base you can start talking to them or surveying them. 

As a result, you will benefit the most if you make sure that you are listening to them. Listening to there responses and engage with them to dig deeper into their pain points and frustrations. This will prove to be invaluable.

Do research online.

  1. Ask prodding questions on Facebook groups
  2. Review and comment in the online forums
  3. Review the comments on blog posts
  4. Visit competitors’ blogs and look at the comments

In doing this, you will be finding out what your ideal customer’s pain points and frustrations are. Although you will be speaking to someone else’s customer, it will still be very effective as they are still your ideal customer avatar.

Look at the comments and see what your ideal customer avatars are talking about.

Better position

You will be in a better position to actually create content to solve their specific frustrations and problems.

So what you need to do is create the content to solve their specific frustrations/problems and they will find it.

Now I hope learning to create your ideal customer avatar has been valuable for you. So that you can create more specific content for your ideal customers that they really want and need.

Content that actually solves their problems and satisfies their frustrations.

The right person at the right time

When this is done right you will create marketing content, for the right person at the right time in the right manner. Therefore resulting in your customers thinking you read their mind to create the content just for them.
